Solid NY style pizza. This was one of my go to lunch spots when I worked in Rosslyn. They definitely get busy during lunch but the line does move quickly. if you have a pizza craving, grab a few slices here and leave happy and full. They have opened a bunch of other locations since this one; glad to see them doing well. There's a ton of pizza places around but this is one of the better ones. Very casual spot in a busy area with nearly impossible to find street parking. There are some expensive garages nearby.
Super Bowl Sunday meant we had to order pizza. One of my friends think Wiseguy Pizza is the best thin-slice in the area, so we ordered three whole pizzas (Margherita, Buffalo Chicken and Supreme) for our watch party. Each 18" pie was 28.99 with massive slices. I only got to try the Margherita slice, and even though the pizza wasn't fresh out of the oven, it was still pretty tasty. The pizza dough and crust have a nice chew. The mozzarella was subtle and creamy, but I could still taste the freshness. The basil tasted a bit off, but no other complaints. Overall, it was good, but not the best Margherita I've ever eaten. Next time, I want to try other pizza options like Paneer Tikka and Mushroom Truffle. For future watch parties, I'd order from Wiseguy Pizza for sure.
An easy to miss spot in the middle of Rosslyn, Wiseguy Pizza really surprised me with its excellent service and delicious food. Specifically the Chicken Paneer Slice, which packed a bit more heat than I was expecting. The heat was a fantastic addition to the textured and flavors I also didn't expect, but was so happy to find. The buffalo chicken Stromboli was good, but it didn't hold a candle to the slice of perfectly cooked za that came before it. Get yourself a slice or two, and enjoy some fantastic flavor in the heart of a bustling Rosslyn, right off the metro. It's a cute little location, so keep your eyes peeled!
The best pizza in town! Wiseguy Pizza is hands-down amazing! The food was absolutely delicious, perfectly crisp crust, fresh toppings, and that authentic flavor that only comes from a truly great pizzeria. Every slice was perfection! The wait time was impressively short, which is always a bonus ! The cookies! They were a fantastic surprise--soft, sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal. If you're looking for a place that serves incredible pizza with quick service, Wiseguy Pizza is the spot. I'll definitely be back!
Convenient pizza spot by the Rosslyn Metro stop. You can order basically any pie on their menu by the slice which is great for a quick bite. The pies are premade and then they reheat each slice in the oven. They have the standard toppings and combos as well as some unique ones like spicy Hawaiian.
I love Wiseguy's. I end up getting a cauliflower crust - it's alwaye crunchy and fresh. Glad they have a plant based meat alternative as well. The backyard and the paneer tikka are two of my favorites.
Walked in randomly on a trip to DC and saw this NY style pizza place, I was pleasantly surprised! $5 slices, thin, crispy, and flavorful! The chicken paneer masala with that green sauce was so dang good! The only reason I took off a star is a tried their square slice, and it was okay for me, very doughy, sauce and pepperoni didn't have too much flavor. Go straight for the classic NY style slices!
I guess I'm a severe critic when it comes to Pizza. I've made a lot of my own pizza the last couple years. I don't have a pizza oven but through trial and error I'm able to make some pretty decent pies. Margarita pizzas is my favorite. I like my pizza with a medium, thin, crunchy crust. When I hold a slice horizontally, it shouldn't sag. Having said all this, wise guys pizza has a very nice flavor. The crust is OK but way too limpy for me. And I can only speak about takeout. The other day we ordered a large cheese pizza and I got a slice. I think it was called Backyard . It had mushrooms, green peppers, etc. I enjoyed it! In summary, I would recommend wise guys pizza.
